Freddy is fifteen and newly orphaned. When Chris offers him a job and a train ticket from Glasgow to Dundee, Freddy knows the score. He’s convinced he can handle himself. And at the end of the line is Broughty Ferry. The place his mum always talked about. The sea. The beach. Somewhere life might have been different. But Freddy is not the only one trying to keep his head above water.
